Cigar box details

I love seeing all the vintage pretties when visiting art friends blogs…the work is always so inspiring. I decided to spend some creative time using old items that I had. There is something about old photos that always tugs at my heartstrings. Sweet vintage laces, old book text and antique embellishments always make me swoon. I also have a new addiction…antique tin types (as shown on the altered cigar box)…oh the photos are so lovely.

I am so grateful for the inspiration and blogging friendship of many beautiful ladies! Thank you!

Beautiful creations, as always! I have loved antiques and vintage things since I was a teenager–my favorite “artsy”things to work with have long been vintage buttons, paper flowers and vintage images–I have several old tintypes in my collection and have never used-them–you’ve done a lovely job of incorporating them into your art, Nancy!

I have so many memories as a child and your work reminds me of a lot of what my little eyes took in. I would often walk a very short distance to my Great Aunt’s house and stay the afternoon with her and look at all her lovely old pictures…..great memories!!

Well Sweet Nancy! I am drooling over these recent works of yours! My favorite is the baby dress and, in fact, I am treating myself to it and just ordered it! I have a very old, antique door, hanging up on a wall in my living room and this baby dress is perfect for the door. I’ve been looking for something vintage and unique to hang there and you are a magician! Thank you! xxoo

Your art is so sweet and beautiful and always pulls at my heart strings. I so love the little dress. It’s been a long time since my 3 girls were little and it brought back memories seeing it and it’s so beautifully altered and even the darlin’ little hanger!

Dear Nancy, Your newest creations are truly exquisite! So much beauty in the vintage embellishments and photos you use. The vintage lace always makes me think of my Grandma as she was always crocheting with the tiniest crochet hook the most beautiful lace pieces. I treasure each one that she lovingly made.
Your artwork always tugs at my heartstrings! :)
    Have a lovely week~

Dear blogger friend, I must say that my health isn’t very good these days, and I have to rest a little. I’ll continue posting my new vintage image everyday for all you, they are already preparated and I just have to click :-), but don’t worry if you don’t see me here for some days. I hope to come back soon, God willing and then I will catch up with my visits.

    See you soon :-)
