Altered Cabinet Album Pages

May 20, 2011

I created these little altered cabinet card album pages using antique backgrounds from an old album. Little scans of some of my newer cabinet cards were added to the inserts, and vintage lace, mother of pearl buttons, prima flowers, and old sheet music were added. A rustic wire hanger for the top and seam binding ribbon. I plan to list these later today in my Etsy shop.

I am looking forward to trying to get back to normal around here. We had an electrical surge hit our home last Friday (the 13th!!!) and take out computers, Play Station, and a few other electronics. Happy to say the electrician found no damage to the circuit breaker box or wiring, but what a mess it has caused for us to replace items and install everything again! Ahhh….the technical world…what a headache it can be!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend…I will be announcing my “Shabby Cone” giveaway winner on Sunday! :)

I don't think we've ever had a power surge….not something I'd want from the sounds of it!!

These album pages are great. We had a power surge several years ago, so I know what you went through. It was a real headache and costly as well. Have a great weekend.

Your cards are so precious. I love the color scheme you chose, very rich and creamy. I hate to hear of the power surge to your electronics. I hope your insurance helped on the expenses. I am always worried that might happen to me. Now I am knocking on wood!

What beautiful Album pages! I have been trying to get some of these for ever, not an easy item to get a hold of. I see them quite often on ebay, but they usually don't ship to Canada. If anyone can help me, please let me know, Busymartha@shaw.ca

Nancy, your cabinet photos are really lovely. You have such a beautiful way with paper and lace!
So sorry about your techno issues. We had one similar once…but it wasn't a storm, our rabbit ate through all the cords behind the computer and television stations! That took some time to repair : )
