Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{Altered Collage Canvas}

September 28, 2009

Canvas was made using Paper Whimsy images, vintage lace and appliques, old key, book text, and vintage buttons. Measures 8 x 10 with lace on the sides.

I made this canvas at our Pjammers weekend in Ann Arbor. Background has tissue paper and cheese cloth for texture. Vintage buttons, german book text, prima flowers, vintage lace and buttons.

About Sugar Lump Studios

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.

    These are brilliant. I've recently discovered canvas working at a workshop, so I've now got a couple of blank ones waiting for inspiration to strike.
