{Autumn Flag Banners}

September 30, 2012

Here are two little flag banners I made using various vintage laces, pearl beads, mother of pearl buttons, and a Paper Whimsy face. It is hard to believe it is the last day of September. I wish that I could say my life has been super busy creating things, but it seems it has been just the opposite.

I’ve been in Physical Therapy for three weeks (2x’s a week) and it has made a huge improvement on my movement, pain, and sleep. Who would have thought that losing your balance (but never falling) and a leg landing in the wrong position could have brought on so much pain. They are re-adjusting everything on me and what has helped the most is the skeletal therapist. I am so grateful for the PT because it has finally giving me some relief, but it will be a long process of getting the muscles strong again, sciatic nerve to calm down, and the soft tissue damage to heal.

Thank you for all the well wishes. Wishing you a Happy October a day early!

Beautiful fabric banners Nancy! I’m so glad to hear you are doing better and so sorry to hear of your injury. I get great relief from muscle/back pain with a gentle form of yoga. Have a great week.

    Hugs,

These are beautiful Nancy..love the old lace and buttons and of course PW images. Glad to know that PT is helping along with the skeletal therapist (that’s a new one for me).
It’s surprising what we can do to ourselves without even knowing it at the time!!! Keep up the good work…what’s that old Brit saying I keep seeing.. Keep Calm and Carry On!

They are both beautiful, dear Nancy. I expecially love the first one.
Hopefully you’ll be free of pain and fully recovered soon. My sciatic nerve bugs me from time to time, so I know how painful that can be.
    Sending hugs to you,
    Julia

    Hi Nancy
Thank goodness that PT is working to your benefit, what a relief.
As for your banners, of they are the sweetest. I am repeating myself (!)but your creations always appear as though they are so authentic, as if they have been stored in Grandma’s attic.

Oh Dear Nancy I didn’t know that you had hurt your poor body like that – Oh do take care as it will take time to heal even with the special care and treatment you are having!
I loved that tribute you made to your dear father – I really understand as I have just passed my first year and anniversary without him.
These flags are just “you” – they could be for any season at all! So very soft and beautiful!
Thanks for enjoying my recent post.

    Hugs for a lovely weekend,
    Suzy
