I got out this week and went to my local antique mall and found some little treasures. Not many, but I was pleased what I came home with. An antique sewing drawer, vintage doily, 4 cabinet cards, sheet music, and a few old books.

It seems my local mall has things that are from my era now…I guess that my age is now vintage! So that is why I like to find the things that I like even more. As I was paying for my purchases…the cashier said to me “I like your style”! Then we discussed how things we grew up with were now being sold at the antique mall and laughed.

I want to share them with you for use in your art work.
Please do not sell in collage sheets. Just right click and download to your hard drive.

About Sugar Lump Studios

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.

Hi Nancy. Thanks for sharing your lovely finds. We are vintage, and proud of it. Vintage “items” are worth something after all! I also love that quote by Rumi. I have made note of it in my “little book of important things” and am inspired to make a piece of art around it. I always love food for future thought! Hugs, Sue

Nancy, how wonderful you had such a rewarding tour out. I love all you found, it is also my style :-)
The sewing drawer ,wonderful, and books and lace, as well as the sweet old photos are all things I would have brought home, too. Thank you dear for offering us to save the sweeties ,to play with.
Oh my, the one with all the hair is so wonderful, I had to laugh.
It is so long time since I was at an antique mall myself, and
seeing this I so want to go, soon ,lol.
Have a lovely weekend Nancy, big hug and a kiss,
    Dorthe

Thank you so much for sharing, Nancy. I have some cabinet cards I would like to share too, but I haven’t worked out how to offer files in a higher resolution on Blogger. It’s on my do list.

The babies are all so sweet. Your display looks great in the sewing drawer, too.
