Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{Bits of This & That}

February 23, 2012

Just a few projects to share with you today. An altered vintage glove, fabric collage, and fabric pouch with speckled birds egg graphic. We are waiting on a big “snow” storm that is supposed to hit tonight – a little excited about the whole thing. Our winter has been so mild here, it doesn’t even seem like February right now.

About Sugar Lump Studios

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.

    Love them all, but especially the glove. What a great idea.. I might have to dig out a pair from my cedar chest.. circa 1964!
    Back in the days when one must wear gloves… to work, to church, to parties.

    Hi Nancy, I love all three projects. Especially the glove stole my heart. I might have a little weakness for gloves and your altered one is just fabulous!
    Happy weekend!

    Oh Nancy! These are gorgeous with your personal touches and style! I adore that speckled egg pouch! We are getting light snow, right now, with some rain mixed in. I think our hill towns are going to get about 6″ of snow.

    Love, Love, Love!! Especially the glove – I have a wonderful collection of old gloves. You have inspired me. I going to use one of my grandmother’s gloves to make a memory of her.
