Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{Black and White}

November 4, 2007

Another project for today…I’ve been up since 5 am, completed some Christmas cards and it is now 7:17pm and I am waiting for my nephew Hunter to come over. He wants me to sew some curtians for his new place! ;)

This weeks theme at Skinny Saturday is Black and White. I struggle to make things black and white (never do) so this was a good challenge for me to think outside my norm. The vintage image is from Nancy Dooren, various rubber stamps and pattern paper.

About Sugar Lump Studios

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.

    I don't think black and white is so easy to pull of for Christmas — you've done it beautifully!

    Nancy, this is stunning! The black and white and image and snow and winter theme is all so perfectly coordinated. You DO do black and white very, VERY well! :)
