Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{Boîte et Petit Livret Vintage}

April 5, 2011

Boîte et Petit Livret Vintage (Box and small vintage book) will be my class/project for Artful Gathering which runs July 20th – August 20th, 2011.

You can visit theartfulgathering.blogspot.com. Class fees will be announced shortly on their site.

In this class you will create a beautiful altered book and keepsake box. The book will be made from canvas board using Paper Whimsy collage images, vintage laces and jewelry bits, fabric flowers, mother of pearl buttons, and ephemera. The treasure box will hold your altered masterpiece.

I am working like a crazy lady (and loving every minute of it) making art tutorials for the Artful Gathering class and my new class Parisian Dreams which will take place May 1st – 15th, 2011.

I have to apologize for being such a BAD blogger and coming to visit each of you. I debated on shutting off comments on this post because I feel very guilty not visiting each of you! I am now catching up on many deadlines in my life, and hope this week I can pop in for a visit! Happy Tuesday! :)

    Hi Nancy
    Breathtaking art.
    I look forward to finding out more news on your next on-line class. I got so much out of Smitten, your class gave me that bit more confidence to use needle and thread. I couldn't have wished for a better introduction to on-line classes and like I say, you have got my interest already in your next class.
    Keep well and keep creating :)
    Wishes
