Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{Button Arch}

November 12, 2008

Hey…it’s been awhile. Life has been super busy which has led to no creative time. I was home sick today – somehow managed to get a raging ear infection which is not helping my constant vertigo problems. I can see the doctor tomorrow – so hopefully that will help. Hubby brought me chinese for lunch – whenever I am sick, egg drop soup and some sort of chinese dish is what I crave! :P

This weeks theme at Gothic Arches is “Buttons”…I couldn’t resist using my button stamp (I colored the buttons in with chalks) and one of my favorite fairy images from Lisa’s Altered Art. Machine stitching and sheet music were also added. It felt very strange to create something today.

About Sugar Lump Studios

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.

    I adore how you combined the real and stamped buttons on your arch.
