Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{Cat Gothic Arch}

July 13, 2008

This weeks theme at Gothic Arches is “Cats”…ode to our furry feline friends. I have two kitties in my household: Baxter an over affectionate tuxedo (black & white) cat and Sophie Lou our shy calico. Each brings a certain happiness to our home. Baxter can be quite pesty and needs attention more often, he also adores our boxer Hailey and they can be found snuggling, sleeping and washing each other…very strange roles for dog and cat but they adore each other. Sophie tolerates Hailey well, and she likes to play kitty olympics with Baxter (racing from one end of the house to the other playing chase) or napping in the sunroom. I love my furbabies and cannot imagine my home without them!

About Sugar Lump Studios

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.

    I love this! It is soooo adorable. Fun theme too. I made a "cat" fish. It isn't as lovely as yours but I'm happy to have something to share.

    This is sooo sweet Nancy – always love your choice of colours and papers!!
    I haven't been in the flow with gothic arches the last couple of months – it might come back again, but seasons change and I go with the flow!
    Thanks for asking about being a hostess!
    Love to you!
