Happy few days until Christmas! I wish that I could say my mojo has been overflowing and the studio is filled with all sorts of new art…but that is not the case. I managed to make these bath salts for the ladies in the family using my Young Living Oils (Lavender) and they get another little somethin’ somethin’ in their gifties too.

Warning…long rant! :-(

Quite honestly, I have been very ill with the flu and it will NOT go away. It subsides, and then something else kicks in. Last Wednesday, in my quest to become a volunteer at the hospital and receive my badge I needed to get shots done. I had my FIRST FLU shot ever and a tDap in my other arm. Within six hours I was sicker then I can remember the last time sick. :( Aches, chills, sweats, it would not stop. That was Wednesday, today is Monday and I still have pain in my arms were shots were given and aches. Yes, I called the nurse on Day #2…they are baffled as well.

If you don’t believe in immunizations and feel I poisoned myself…well as crazy as I think it is…I might agree with you. If your first flu shot was the same (the cashier at a store told me that today) then hey that might be it. Or if you are like my Mom who says “NEVER let them give you two shots at the same time” then that might also be the reason. Whatever the reason…I will never get one again no matter of being more at risk since the stroke.

The good news is that I am now able to volunteer at the hospital and the hope is the stroke peer mentoring program will start in March 2016. So, for that reason alone this beyond sick sick was worth it.

We have NO SNOW in Michigan and they are calling for the temperatures to be in the 60’s the next few days! Unheard of…and so pleasant too! I love my snow, I do like winter but you know Christmas and seasonable weather is a nice change.
