Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{DCM – Monochromatic}

March 31, 2007

I decided to try out one of the Daring Card Maker’s weekly challenges today. This is my first time playing – but I have been admiring Gillian’s cards for some time now.

The Daring Card Maker’s challenge this week was to create a card using a monochromatic theme. I selected green – maybe because I am on “spring break” from work/school this week….

I used the Large swirl stamp from Just Johanna using versamark on green Bazzill cardstock. I then layered various pattern papers and used the sewing machine to add stitching. Green patterned ribbon (Michael’s), Studio K monogram stickers in shades of green, and green prima flowers were added. I also used my corner rounders. Very fun challenge – it sure got me in the mood for SPRING!
