Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{Door}

June 1, 2007

“The long and winding road that leads to your door,

Will never disappear, I’ve seen that road before

It always leads me here, leads me to your door.

This week’s challenge at Wednesday Stamper
was to create something using an image or stamp of a door. Since I do not own a door stamp – I found a gothic style door photo (my favorite style of door) looking out into the beauty of Ireland.

The stamps I used are from justjohanna… (michelle’s little scroll, paisley border, small hearts, and budding florish) and the crown stamp by Anna Griffin. I used a vintage image from my friend Deborah – pattern papers, poppy brillance ink, mini brads and prima flowers. Two word stickers were also added. I added some color to the stamping and little girls cheeks with photo tinting pens…this was a fun challenge!

About Sugar Lump Studios

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.
