Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{Echoes in Rain Altered Dress Canvas}

April 18, 2017

Hello! I am sharing this altered dress canvas that was recently completed. I used a beautiful background paint called “Sea Glass” and it really is just like the beach sea glass you find. The little dress is made from white damask and little bits of lace, buttons, and ribbon have also been added. The clothespins are white to match the dress as well. I added a few lyrics to the piece as well…they read:

Into the wind
I throw the night
Silver and gold
Turn into light
I’m on the road
I know the way
Everything flows
Here comes another new day.
