Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{Fabric Gathering}

September 26, 2010

Miss Pleasant Peach

Miss Savannah Sapphire

Miss Brianna Butterfly

Miss Gwendolyn Gatherer

Miss Priscilla Poppet

The autumn always makes me want to snuggle up and do things inside. Perhaps this is why my needle and thread have been working overtime. I find sewing relaxing (when the machine cooperates and my eyes can thread the needle) especially when working with pretty fabrics and old fashion images.

I have a few more collages to share with you. I used a combination of canvas backgrounds and organic batting. The first is my favorite because of the sweet colors and the little vintage rhinestone pin.

All these creations are currently available in my Etsy shop.

About Sugar Lump Studios

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.

    they are beautifull, and so sweet,
    love each and everyone one,- but a pick, I think, would be the first one,too- she looks so adorable, on her muted background.
