Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{Flowers}

June 8, 2007

The challenge at Wednesday Stamper this week was to create something with “flowers”…

Today is my first day of “summer vacation” from work/school and I putzed on a few ATC’s for the theme. I used photos of family members for the projects.

The first is my Mom at about age 9 – she took the picture at the dime store in Dearborn, Michigan. The background was stamped and chalked, centers of flowers were photo tinted. Handcut stamped flowers were added to the bottom, as well as ribbon and prima flowers.

This ATC features my Dad (center with crown), my Aunt Greta and my Grandmother
during WWII in Detroit, Michigan. Love this family shot of all three! :)
Large gerbera stamp in brown, overlayed with small daisy stamp in black. Crown stamp, postmark stamp and prima flowers were added.

About Sugar Lump Studios

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.
