Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{Friday Foto Freebie}

August 10, 2007

This is a freebie of another “unknown” relative. This man I have dubbed “Edward” – I think he looks like one! Kinda distinguished , serious and frugal! :) Edward was in a album that belonged to my Grandfather’s family. What has me stumped is his photo was taken in Salt Lake City, Utah. All the other photographs in the album are from the Michigan area – I am not aware of any relative that lived in Utah.

If you click on the image you can get the scan in a higher resolution.

I made a gothic arch using Edward’s photo that I would like to offer as a RAK.
Just post that you are interested in receiving it – and I will draw the winner on
August 18.

About Sugar Lump Studios

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.

    Nancy, your work is so lovely and intriguing too! I'm wondering if perhaps "Edward" was on a trip or vacation holiday when he went out to Utah perhaps. Or, could he have been a beau of one of your female family members? I love to make up "what if" type stories with old photos.

    It would be wonderful to get this piece of art. Your work is very accomplished – and I would love to learn how to do collaged pieces.
    Thanks,
    Vianna

    Frugal Edward may well be a long lost love of some frivolous female in the family. Well, it's a beauty of a piece and I just made up my own story for it.
