Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{Get Your Whimsy On ATC’s}

May 24, 2010

A few more ATC’s made over the weekend. I was pleased to be able to create art and work out in our yard…digging up the “cousin it” bushes has been no easy task…the roots went all the way to China and back. When the flowers and trees are blooming it inspires my soul.

All images are from Paper Whimsy. If you haven’t heard a challenge called “Get Your Whimsy On” is currently running at their blog!
Happy Monday everyone! :)

About Sugar Lump Studios

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.

    Hi Miss Nancy,
    Your ATC's are absolutely gorgeous! I love everyone! Your artwork is so beautiful! I am glad you were able to create more this weekend! The roots to China and back do not sound like fun at all! I hope you enjoy your day off today! Love, Paula

    I am still LOL at "cousin it". I say everyone should have a "cousin it" in their yard!!!
    Each ATC is a minature work of art – the first is so quirky. Wish I were part of your ATC swaps to be on the receiving end. Have a great week. Lynne M (love your choice of colours, as always)

    I agree with "StampDiva" in her comment on your last post, your layers that you always have on your ATCs, altered cards or whatever, are what really draws the eye in and captures us all. The way you put it all together and structure it is so very appealing. These ATCs rock!!

    Hi, Nancy! These are soooo gorgeous! I love the blues and browns together. I especially like the stunning large butterfly on the second one and the inked, textured border along the bottom of the fourth one! :-)
