Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{Glorious Mackinac Island}

September 1, 2007

I wanted to share a few photos from our trip to Mackinac Island last weekend.
We had a wonderful time and the day on the island was gorgeous! The weather was perfect! We rented carriages that you drive yourself and 13 members of my family split up into 3 carriages – plus 2 border collies and my boxer Hailey. Talk about crazy! We took the lakeside tour of the island – something I have NEVER seen before and I have been going there since I was a little girl. GORGEOUS!

About Sugar Lump Studios

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.

    Beautiful photos! I visited there several years ago and stayed one night in the Grand Hotel! Such history. I felt like I had stepped back in time! I think I need to visit again!
