{Goodbye August, Hello September}

August 30, 2015

goodbyeaugust

I’m not ready for it to be September. I cannot turn back the clock and make summer return. I had so many plans in my mind, and honestly few happened. While I do love seasons, I am finding more and more that cold weather is starting to really effect me, especially since having the stroke. I am honestly dreading winter! :( If anyone wants to adopt me in a warmer climate for January – March I will be right down! lol

On a positive note, I have met with volunteer services at the hospital where I did my stroke recovery and will be working towards becoming a volunteer there. This meeting this past week made me very happy and gave me some purpose. It will be rewarding and challenging at the same time. My mind has been spinning with ideas I could do on my own locally to help spread stroke awareness.

Just a little collage cigar box that I made using Paper Whimsy images and alterable products back in 2014…I don’t use yellow tones much so I always find it a bit challenging. Words were cut from old sheet music.

    I love summer and it has gone by all too quickly for me also. I feel like I didn’t have time to enjoy it like I was hoping to. I even wrote on Mr. C’s “white board”…ENJOY SUMMER! Fabulous altered cigar box you have created. I don’t work with yellow very much either. Summer Sunshine Smiles…
    P.S. Your voluneering at your local hospital will be great for you and your community.

    I don’t know where August…I do know it went very quickly. Not quite ready for cold weather, but still that’s a few months away. Love this cigar box.
    My best wishes for your volunteering efforts. I’m sure you will make a success of it.

    I so understand how you are feeling Nancy, we have lit the wood stove today because it is so cold and miserable here and it’s still August, so very sad :O( I’d adopt you in a minute but it is most probably just as cold or even colder here so I am no help to you at all LOL! Good luck with your volunteering but don’t overdo, it will be pretty exhausting for you at first I am sure. Love, love, love your altered cigar box and you can open it up and enjoy that bright warm yellow interior when the cold is getting you down! Hugs, Deb xo
