Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{Gypsy Gothic Arch}

January 18, 2009

This week’s theme at Gothic Arches is “Gypsies”. My arch features a vintage image and a door stamp from Paper Bag Studios. K & Company papers, prima flowers and text from the song “Gypsy” by Fleetwood Mac. To the gypsies…that remain….

About Sugar Lump Studios

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.

    Love that you included the song, that's what first came to mind when I read the challenge this week. You have such a way of laying out a beautiful collage. Gorgeous work.

    What a beautiful arch – like that you made the arch so it can become a tag as well.

    Hi, Nancy! Just a quick question … I've never made a "gothic arch" card before. I was wondering if there is a "standard template" that I could use? Or does everyone just "wing it"??? Thanks!
