Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{Gypsy That Remains}

April 10, 2012

So I’m back to the velvet underground
Back to the floor that I love
To a room with some lace and paper flowers
Back to the gypsy that I was
To the gypsy…that I was

Using some lyrics written by Stevie Nicks (my favorite) of Fleetwood Mac I incorporated this fabric book with “Gypsy” images, lots of lace, buttons and sewing. The images are from June @ Dezina World.

I would like to also share one of my new sponsor’s….

About Sugar Lump Studios

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.

Totally amazing! Have loved Fleetwood Mac for years and years. They never seem to go out of style. The words fit so well.

    Dear Nancy
Oh how this appeals to me so much! I love all of these gypsy images and how you have composed and collaged each one into a dear little book. Georgeous heart melting creations!!!
I still have that favourite song and Stevie Nicks going around in my head. I have been inispired by her for many years! She’s the Gypsy – that remains!
I chose “Vintage Gypsy” as the theme for my Lacebook Round Robin that I currently in. You may have seen some of my pages which I posted about 12 posts back.
You too love the same velvet and lace as much as I do!
    Love and hugs,
    Suzy

Luv Shell’s Vintage Charm. She is indeed one charming lady. I won a snowman from her site and couldn’t bear to put him away with xmas stuff. He is still sitting in a place of honor on a barrister cabinet.
