{Holiday Whimsies}

The Holiday season is quickly approaching and here are a few projects to get you in the festive spirit. They could be used as ornaments or tags on gifts. They would also be beautiful strung as a garland, or hung on a wreath.

Winter Whimsy Ornaments

Supplies:
Craft Batting
3″ Hangers
White Mini Clothespins
Wired Ribbon – Ivory
Beads
Mica Chips
Lace
Needle and Thread

Technique:
(1) Cut Craft batting to the size of an ATC (2.5 x 3.5 inches). Layer pieces of lace overlapping one another with needle and thread and sew into place.
(2) Add beads and buttons with needle and thread. Glue word art on with fabric glue.
(3) Apply wisps of fabric glue on various areas and sprinkle with Mica Chips.
(4)Attach ATC hanger and white clothespins.
*For floral wreath take a small amount of floral ivory ribbon and wrap into a circle and tack into place with a few hand stitches.
*For ribbon ruffle simple make stitches and gather/pleat the ribbon as you go along the fabric.

Shabby Chic ATC Ornaments

Supplies:
Studio Cloth
3″ Hangers
Geometric 15 JPG
Geometric 20 JPG
Geometric 14 JPG
White Mini Clothespins
Digi Sheet 284
Digi Sheet 287
Digi Sheet 282

Technique:
(1)Cut studio cloth to ATC size (2.5 x 3.5 inches) and cover with a coat of craft paint (front and back sides).
(2)Insert digital background images into Microsoft word making size 2.5 x 3.5 inches. Print on photo matte paper and trim so edges of studio cloth will show as border underneath.
(3)Collage backgrounds on to studio cloth using Perfect paper adhesive or Matte Gel Medium. Add strips of pattern papers, punch scallop shape, punch circle Beautiful faces images and collage.
(4)Punch snowflake and add to center with embellishment center.
(5)Glue clingy lace and ball trim to bottom.
(6)Add silver antique glitter along edges of each ATC.
(7)Add hanger and white clothes pins to top.

Victorian Holiday Cards

Supplies:
Digi Sheet 285
Digi Sheet 281
Card stock
Pattern papers
Antique Silver Glitter
Mini Pom Trim (pink and blue)
Snowflake Paper Punch

Technique:
(1)Layer pattern papers to card base. Add Collage image tucking paper doily folded in half. Add embellishments and word art.
(2)Add bow at top of tag.

    These are so sweet, and they look easy enough to make quite a few quickly. I like to make Christmas baskets for our friends with home made treats inside, these will be lovely as a decoration for the outside. Thanks for a great idea.
