Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{June This & That}

June 21, 2011

The past few weeks I have not had much time for creating. Last week we painted all the interior doors inside our home and the shutters on the front of the house. The weather was glorious, and we figured it was the best time to do so (before summer humidity returned.) In between working around the house, I was importing my blog into this domain.

After all the hiccups with Blogger in April/May/June I decided to figure out how to transfer it all here. I have had my own domain for 4 years now, and figured it was time to seriously start using it. I still have a lot to learn about WordPress and many tweaks to the site will come in the near future.

I hope you will still continue to follow me here! :)

A altered canvas I sent to Heather Robinson.

About Sugar Lump Studios

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.

    Beautiful creations, as always!
    I’ve been thinking of breaking away from Blogger, too – everyone says WordPress is so much better. Can’t be all bad, getting away from the frustration of Blogger! lol

    Looks like you’re settling in here just great!! And you imported all your followers, too!! I found out how to do that after it was too late and already had a bit of a build up of new followers over at my wp blog. Sigh…

    Anyhoo, I’m sure you’ll be enjoying the new wp interface in no time. :)

    Cheers,
    Tracy

    Nancy Sweet! Congratulations on your new site. It’s great and, of course, I will continue to follow you – couldn’t do without you and your inspiration! Love all your art, here, to kick things off. Your “She Art” is wonderful and it looks as if you’re enjoying the class as much as I did. It’s jam-packed!
