{Life’s about changes}

September 8, 2008

I haven’t had the heart to post about Andrew going back to Iraq. He left on Friday and I know his heart was very heavy. It was for all of us. I did not see him as much as I would have liked to – but I think he knows his Mama loves him very much.
He will be there until February/March 2009…and I pray that God will continue to protect him. Here are two of the pictures that I scanned from film Andrew developed while he was here.

I am officially a full time student. I have decided at the ripe old age of 44 to go into Visual Communications. Tomorrow I start – and I am excited and scared! :) I will still be working at the school – but 3 days a week so I can devote more time to studying (and hopefully art ;))…hope to enjoy my new change in life! If you don’t see me blogging much – it’s because I am studying ;) but I hope to eek some me time in along the way!

About Sugar Lump Studios

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.

    Nancy congratulations on going back to school – bravo!! You and I have the same number of years to our lives :)

    As for your boy Andrew, he is in my prayers and so are you. Please God he finishes his tour and comes home asap – Feb./March is not so far away, let's hope it passes quickly. I look forward to hearing he's safely home and based here in the USA, or at the very least Germany. How long is he signed up for?
