Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{Linens & Lace Fabric Book}

March 5, 2012

I had fun this past week trying out that new sewing machine and creating. This fabric book was created using lots of old vintage doilies, hankies and lace. I also added scans of some of my favorite cabinet cards that were printed on to fabric sheets.

My favorite touch is on the front cover. I purchased the beautiful crochet flower from the talented Sandra Blanks of Tattered Laces. She makes the most beautiful crocheted (and vintage) creations. I do hope you will stop by to see her!

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.
