Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{Little Vintage Treasures}

October 29, 2010

I made this little pocket pillow using coffee stained beige calico, vintage lace, mop buttons and tucked hymnal music with a cabinet photo in the pocket. Add a few silk flowers and seam binding ribbon and viola a sweet shabby pillow.

Little vintage baby shoes that I picked up over the summer…added a lace fiberfill to the insides and decorate the outside with seam binding ribbon, charm, and vintage buttons.

Hope you have a wonderful Halloween weekend! :)

    Love it all, but the pillow is my most favorite. I've been gathering to do pillows, but have yet to do one. Not for lack of treasures to do them with either.
    Maybe some day

    Hi Nancy, your art always has such a gentleness to it, art that looks as though it has been discovered in Grandma's attic. I cannot decide what is more adorable, the pillow or the little shoes. Beautiful art. Have a Haunting Hallowe'en weekend my friend. Lynne x (I have just re-read Tam o'Shanter to get me in the mood LOL)
