I purchased this wooden frame box a few months back at Michael’s. It came in a natural wood and I painted it a deep brown. The back of the box is exactly 12 x 12 inches (perfect for those of you who might want to put a scrapbook layout inside).
The papers I selected are K & Company’s Classic K Bailey Collection – they are soooo yummy! :) Layering papers with modge podge – I added a photo of my hubby, Hailey and me…chipboard letters were added (Basic Grey) and I substituted a heart for the “O” in the word LOVE.
I used Just Johanna rubber stamps – of course my fave’s the paisley heart and large swirl. The stamp images were sprinkled with garnet embossing powder and heat set. More coats of modge podge…
Final touch was a large prima flower…I think this will be going in a little nook in our living room above my Grandmother’s antique ice box.
I got one of these frames too but haven't done anything with it yet. My son will deploy this summer, no date yet, we can support each other.
oh Nancy…this is such a beautiful and special piece. Love that pic :o)

Love the squiggle! I really like the idea of the shadow box…..turns a scrapbook page into a piece for display! GREAT!
Such a special piece to hang. I, of course, adore the hearts and how you did the heart for the O. It all goes together as if it was meant to be.
I love the shadow frame the colors are great!
