Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{Merry Month of May}

May 6, 2015

It’s already May? I have not been creating a thing the past few weeks and wanted to catch up on my blog. So yet again, I have random posts to share today.

My daughter Alli took me to a local park that she loves so much. Delhi is on the outskirts of Ann Arbor, Michigan and has the Huron River rolling through it. The river was beautiful this spring day, and I had to hobble down a steep embankment to get there (some assistance from daughter), but it was well worth it. Our little Mom and Daughter selfie show here.

This is my skirt that I finished last month. I still need to tweak it a bit, because I am swimming in it…but I got it done and that is an accomplishment to me! :-)

With Mother’s Day approaching this weekend, I hope you all have a wonderful celebration.

About Sugar Lump Studios

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.

    Dear Nanyc,
    It must be wonderful for you, with your daughter now living in your house, so near, -which makes it much more easy to take on wonderful tours like this , you tell us about. Lucky you !!
    The skirt looks so lovely, and sommerly, I love you made the big ruffle, it will be beautiful for your coming sommerdays.
    You to ,dear friend have a happy Mothers Day, -as my daughter lives 5 hours expensive travel away from here, we will not be together ,but I believe my husbond will celebrate me a bit, lol.
    Hugs from Dorthe
