I wanted to introduce you to our newest family member Millie Mae aka “Millie”…a six week old Boxer pup. She is fiesty and sleeps only 1.5 hours at a time. Millie is making herself at home with our boxer Hailey and two kitties.

Millie is a Brindle boxer and quite the little fiesty bundle of joy. Sadly, her Mama passed just 5 days after she and her siblings were born so the family dynamics are quite different with this pup.

I forgot how exhausting puppies are – or rather I’ve never had a puppy that was like a newborn with colic. I’m hoping in the next week her sleeping schedule will be better – and I can once again get a few hours sleep at a time. In the meantime, our hands are pretty full…but we are enjoying her antics and hopefully you will also in the months to come as she grows!

About Sugar Lump Studios

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.

Dear Nancy, she is so lovely, with her big eyes, and “white” feet- a little bunch of joy and missing sleep-all together. I hope she will soon adjust to what her mother tells her is comon practice in your home :-) -Hugs,Dorthe

No cuteness here this morning! What a sweet and adorable little face! Hopefully soon she will sleep longer, so her new mama can! Hugs!

all I can say is OMG it’s a good thing we live far away from each other!!! She is utterly precious. I’m so sorry to hear her Momma died. It must be challenging for all the new “moms” to care for such young pups. All the best and hope you get some good sleep soon.

What a precious little puppy. Yes little pups can keep you busy, but what a sweet reward.
I’ve no doubt she’ll settle in to a good sleep routine pretty soon. If I lived near by, I’d puppy-sit!

She is so darling!! How sad for her and her siblings to have lost their mama so soon. I’m glad she has a loving family to help her through.

She’s just adorable! Hope she starts sleeping better-we also got a new puppy a couple of weeks ago, but got very lucky–he took to the crate almost immediately and sleeps well-I was expecting things to be a lot worse the first week or so and was dreading it–I do know what you’re going through from my past experiences with new puppy family members over the years, though. I wish for you lots of rest in the near future and much good luck with your new little darling!
