{Paper Collage Jewelry Boxes}

I’ve been working on these altered jewelry boxes and finally completed them to share. The first is an interesting trinket box that has 4 photo frames on the bottom. I made a collage on the top and added paper to the lid interior. Inside the frames, I have added pattern paper. You can add 4 x 6 photos to them or leave with the paper.

The next box is a big wooden jewelry box that I have painted and distressed. On the lid, I added a paper collage of old French book pages and various ephemera. One of my favorite collage images takes center stage with butterflies and mother of pearl buttons highlighting the sides.

Inside the box is lined in velvet and there is plenty of space for jewelry storage.

    Both are so beautiful and have that perfectly shabby appearance and you always create with the sweetest of images.
    Nancy, believe it or not, we’ve had a blink of sun, I wonder if that constitutes as our Summer!!! Not that I am complaining, the sun and I have realised, we will never be the best of friends!

    Oh Nancy, the boxes you found are so beautiful, in form and interior, and your altering, makes them so lovely shabby, dear friend.
    Both of them are special and I have never seen any boxes, like them.
    I love the old fine images, and your adds of buttons and sweetness.
    Sending you hugs from me. :-)

    Nancy, These are so beautiful!! I love both of them but the white one of course is my favorite!!! My husband is a cigar smoker and always has those wooden cigar boxes piling up…. I should try doing something with a few of them…. Oh how I wish you lived next door to me so you could come over and help me/craft with me….. :)
