I love purple in pretty much any shade and consider myself quite lucky to be a February baby. My birthstone is Amethyst and my birth flower is Violet. Gimme purple…YAH!

In fact, my maternal Grandmother Jessie loved purple too! She made sure that she passed all her purple heirlooms down to the Granddaughter that loved that color as much as she did (another post I think is calling)… :-)
In May 2014, my daughter gave me the large amethyst stone for Mother’s Day. I finally got a simple necklace together using the stone, some smaller stones and beads as well. I am pretty happy with how it turned out, even if it is more simple.

And to celebrate Purple a few of my favorite photos from my “Purple” board on Pinterest. Enjoy!

Your necklace is beautiful, Nancy. I have never been in a purple phase but I like purple flowers and sometimes I wear purple sweaters, T-shirts and accessories.
Have a great weekend! I hope you are feeling well.

It is interesting that certain colours pull us in. I have never been one to wear a lot of purple but my sister likes it (I blame it on Donny Osmond, she was mad about him and his brothers (!) and didn’t Donny wear a lot of purple?!) BUT I do love amethyst and have a few, not in jewellery form, only in crystal form. My birthstone is Emerald, which I really do not like, at all lol.
To create a beautiful piece of jewellery centred around that wonderful stone, that is special.
    Wishes
