Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{Vintage Book Cover}

May 21, 2010

One more mini-project for this months “May Muse” over at Gingersnap Creations…recycling an old book cover into art. I used this old book cover that had fallen off the book it once protected and created a little collage.

Using bits of old lace, ephemera, ribbon, vintage buttons and images from Paper Whimsy. This was super simple to create and could have eyelets added to the top to hang.

About Sugar Lump Studios

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.

    I love this Nancy. I am giggling since my Grandmother lace looks just like yours. I have a few old book covers in need to a "facelift" – thank you for your inspiration.
