This weeks Wednesday Stamper challenge was to create artwork using the color RED . I don’t consider myself a red person – nor do I use yellow or orange much. But when I started my creation – it occured to me how many things I have created using red . The Basic Grey papers have a lot of red tones and I am really enjoying them in my scrap room lately.
This mixed media collage was created using my own Baby photo. I have yet to do something like that with old photos of myself. I printed the photo and wings on to Bazzill cardstock. I used Basic Grey pattern paper as my background. A baby shoe stamp was added to the background with Tim Holtz Vintage photo ink. I then applied red chalk over the stamped image. Bebe was stamped along the upper circle, while the lower had some machine stitching added to it. I then stamped daisy flowers and shaded them with red chalk and added prima flowers. Mini brads were added to the centers. The quote was done on the computer, applied to patterned paper and red chalk was dusted over. The crown was given a red heart sequin.
