This weeks challenge at Gothic Arches is to create an arch using “text”…

I have had this song “Lullabye” by Shawn Mullins stuck in my head for the last several weeks. The lyrics have been a comfort to me with Andrew’s deployment.
I listen to the acoustic version and original version on a daily basis.

Using K & Company Army paper I typed the verse in the computer and printed in various text sizes as the background. I then added some torn strips of blue newspaper print pattern paper. A grid pattern stamp was added using gold embossing powder, as well as a compass stamp and postage mark in black. I altered Andrew’s photo in Paint Shop Pro using the “chrome” filter adding the text “Godspeed”…
A transparency film strip was added to the bottom attached with mini square brads.
I typed out some of the lyrics and printed them on pattern paper.

“Everything is gonna be alright…ROCKABYE… the words that are trying to bring me some comfort right now.
