Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{Sew Somerset Winter 2013}

November 15, 2012

A little piece of published work I wanted to share. This was a pouch featured in Sew Somerset Winter 2013. I received the magazine the other day and wanted to share. I was tickled when they wanted the piece sent in last February.

I also received this sweet surprise in the mail from friend Dorthe Hansen. A gorgeous angel doll with driftwood wings and beautiful art tag. I can’t wait to hang the angel on the tree this year. Dorthe makes the most gorgeous art – and I especially love her dolls.

The Hubby and I are working on a furniture piece. We did not capture the “before” photo – but it has painting and fabric involved. Hope to reveal this next blog post. Happy Thursday!

About Sugar Lump Studios

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.

    Oh; so beautiful Nancy and it should be showcased! Congratulations on being published! This is so well deserving.

    And….yes I am enjoying Olivia. She is SO quiet! They lucked out. Sophia is a bit possessive of her “Gwamma” paying attention to her baby sister :).

    Hope you and yours are well; always thoughts of you!

    Love, Marilyn
    PS Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
