Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{Shabby Tags}

September 8, 2010

Just a few little shabby tags using one of my favorite Paper Whimsy images and backgrounds. I am trying to get back into the mode of going back to work this week and tomorrow hubby has knee surgery…so we have been a bit stressed about that. Creating always soothes my soul no matter how stressful the world may be! :)
Hope you have a wonderful weekend! :)

About Sugar Lump Studios

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.

    Dear Nancy, good luck tomorrow. I almost lost my knee cap once so I can relate a little. I'm sure all will be well and your hubby will be back on his way once again. Hang in there. Your tags are beautiful as always. Funny how art can relieve stress.

    Your creations are always so inspiring to me! Good luck to your hubby. I work in surgery as an orthopeadic surgical nurse, so I can imagine what he's going through. Blessings, Becca

    Nancy, such true words, creating does help the soul especially during stressful times. I hope your husband's surgery goes well and he has a speedy recovery. Your tags are incredible beautiful. You always use the most gorgeous papers, I need to track down such papers. Thanks for stopping by my Blog and believe it or not after some atrocious weather, the sun is shining today. Take care. Your tags are so pretty-such soft colors, and a bit of magic, too–always love your work! I hope your husband is doing well . . . I know how that knee stuff goes, with all of the injured knees in our family over the years! I will keep him in my prayers . . .

    Your tags are always so delightful :) I love using that word for your art work.

    By now your hubby had his surgery, and I am sure if he is not on something strong he will be in a lot of pain. My husband has been in 3 times now for knee surgery, hope all went well :)
