I am joining Wen from Apple Apricot for another Simply Neutrals Tuesday.
I am joining in this week with a piece that was made slowly over the winter. I am still waiting for my Canon DRebel to return from being worked on (2 months now) and cannot tell you how lost I am without it. I know so many are used to their smart phone cameras, and while I do find them useful…it just isn’t the same as a good camera.
I made the canvas using a variety of pattern papers, lace, mica chips and collage. Then I washed it with very diluted paints and sealed with Matte Gel Medium.
This is so very beautiful, dear ,- dreamy, romantic and with the wonderful message, of thinking positive in all we do.
I know how much you try to do that every day, Nancy.
I`m happy to see this new and adorable art work from you.
Wishing you, all the best.

oh what a perfectly beautiful piece and quote Nancy-definitely one of my very favorites of yours!!
So very beautiful and one of my favorite sayings. Your work is lovely dear.
I’ll have to repeat what the others have said… this is
just beautiful. And truly inspirational. Everything about
this canvas is stunning.
This is beautiful! Glad to see your work again. Love the quote too.
I absolutely love your gorgeous canvas, dear Nancy.
Have a lovely rest of the week.
Hugs and love,
Marie
Nancy,
What a beautiful canvas!
The simplicity makes it all the more appealing! Did you use the mica for the wings? I love the transparency of them~ and yes, the quote is a favorite of mine as well!
Beautifully done!
Thank you for your visit- you made my day!
hugs,Jackie
So lovely, Nancy! I especially love the ethereal texture provided by the lace! Great job!
Hi Nancy,
What a touching and inspiring creation, luv the soft
colors too.
BIG hug,
Barb
Oh Nancy, this is beautiful! I love how the image really stands as the focal point; and the over-all vintage flair of this piece. Your white-washed seal over the different textures is so cool~ Thanks for the inspiration friend : ) Karen O (been away so am late in visits; got to see the family!)
Hello Nancy, I love the texture you have added to the background, and the whole effect is lovely – as usual, your work is so balanced and feels just right. I know what you mean about a good camera. You can achieve so much more with a great lens. But it is handy to have a smartphone to capture moments and beauty when out and about, too.
Have a lovely week.
Hugs,
Jesse
Your collage is stunning, dear Nancy! The layering and texture is so beautiful! Good to see you creating again. And oh yes, I know what you mean about the camera. Mine is having hiccups now too and the quality of my phone camera is not as good either. Thank you for sharing the beautiful quote with us, dear. Big hugs to you! xx
