{Simply Neutrals #36 – Spring Peat Pots}

March 5, 2018

I am joining Wen for Simply Neutrals Tuesday. Please visit her blog and see Wen’s and see many other artists beautiful posts as well: appleapricot.blogspot.com

This week I am sharing these little peat pots I made to put at my booth. Ironically, the pots have been shabby painted for years and I had them in my “art stash” and they moved with me three times!  I really was tired of lugging them and not making something with them (I have discovered that less really is more)!

I needed it to be simple, and just added little strips of vintage dictionary pages and music to the front, and then added little eggs and numbers as well. The insides have vintage sheet music that I cut into strips, crumpled really good in my hands and put inside the pots. The sides were pierced at the top, and black wire was added.

I took them to my booth this morning, found out I had not priced them and had nothing to do it with so back home they came. Sigh!

Hope you can visit the many lovely ladies that participate each week on Simply Neutrals Tuesday!

    Oh Nancy these are amazing! Suzy is right; (you won’t have to pack them on your next journey I’m sure : ) They should sell quickly. Nancy do you know how much you inspire me!?! These are so lovely and so smart! <3 I've been looking at yours and several other blogs for months – and now that I'm 'settled' I'm hoping I can take all this inspiration and start creating again. Love and hugs to you my Michigan friend~ I'm guessing things will start greening soon? I remember the smell of Spring in MI as a child. I'll never forget that wonderful earthy smell. : ) Sorry so long! Take care, karen o

    Dear Nancy, they are so lovely, so beautiful decorated in you much loved style, and with spring signs , all over.
    I`m sure they will be loved – when bringing them there, once more- so exiting with your booth , I can tell it must be both cozy and fun to have it, to decorate with your amazing creations, and also to take home money from sales.
    Good luck my dear friend.
    Hugs from Dorthe

    Playing catch up, but these were some good inspiration for me. I’ve some pink and aqua ones just waiting to be finished (maybe 2yrs). Really love how you made them a little bit Vintage
