I am joining Wen from Apple Apricot for another Simply Neutrals Tuesday.

Simply Neutrals Tuesday at AppleApricot - blog button

Greetings! I am very late in the post this week, but I wanted to play along. I made this collage MANY years ago and came across it in some of my art photos this past week. The image is from Paper Whimsy and the piece was actually done in a linen remnant. Oodles of vintage laces and beads were also added.

About Sugar Lump Studios

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.

I LOVE this collage of laces and buttons on the linen with such a sweet image. Her bow is bigger than she is and reminds me of a photo my husband has of his mother and her twin sister and both of them have huge bows on their heads. Creative Neutral Bliss…

Hi Nancy! I always love looking at your work, whether it be old or new. Refreshers are great as often we see them in a new and different way. Hope all is still going well. Hugs, Sue

She is such a beautiful Paper Whimsy girl, and you made her a most beautiful “home” Nancy.
So many lovely details, with your added pearls and buttons, and wonderful neutral laces , just adorable, dear .

It’s a gorgeous collage Nancy, I don’t think I’ve seen it before. I’m happy you’re sharing these older art pieces with us so we can see them if we haven’t seen them before. And you’re welcome to join in the party any time :) xx (Beautiful quote by CS Lewis by the way, a great reminder for me this week, so thank you for sharing sweetie!) xx
