{Sweet & Simple Altered House}

This little cream house has been a labor of love. I purchased it back in September 2009, and had painsakingly started to collage it with pattern papers, exacto knife, very detailed work. I set it aside as we prepared to move in early 2010…

The house originally looked like this:

While this little house set in packed boxes I decided it needed to be creamy white, very plain and full of sparkle…

For the past two weeks it has sat on my kitchen island getting gesso, cream paint and shutters…

I placed it in a large box and added craft glue all along the lid…and sprinkled…sprinkled…and sprinkled more…

A bit of lace was added where the roof and lower half connect…and more sparkle was sprinkled…

Although my little cream house is very plain, it took hours to create and I really am happy with the results. I found the little white trees at Joann’s this week for $1.00 each. The photos are not the best…it was starting to get dark here when I was finally able to photograph it.

Now to find a special place for it in the living room…just in time for the Christmas season! :)
