Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{The Crow and the Swan}

March 18, 2011

Last Christmas, I received those most precious hand-made gift. This beautiful charm pendant necklace with gorgeous embellishments and metal work. The artist was given a few of my “likes” and information about me, and created this one of a kind masterpiece.

When I opened the necklace, I cried. The sweet antique “Ford” key was such a precious memento of my own family history and my initials were delicately added to it. A wee heart (I collect them), green crystal (my favorite color to wear), and altered metal bits reading “Old Soul”. I adore this necklace more each day and wanted to share the artist and piece with you today.

Laura is a Mixed Metals Jewelry Artist who resides in a town near myself here in Michigan. She has a darling Etsy shop called The Crow and the Swan and you may see more of her gorgeous creations. She also does custom pieces and my mind is already spinning on Christmas gifts for loved ones for this year.

You may visit her shop and take a peek:

I hope you will pay sweet Laura a visit today! :) Happy Friday!
