Summer Days

Vintage lace and sweet little key

Summer…we wait for it all year and it seems to be over in the blink of an eye. I cannot believe it is already the middle of July. The past month has been a whirlwind of projects (garden, house, class and art) and throw in a little chaos here and there. I sat down with my hubby the other day and shared how I need to organize my day better. It feels like I am being pulled a million directions at once at times and I want to stop the train and jump off. Ever have days/weeks like that? So this is Day#3 of trying to “better organize” my day! We shall see if our new “plan” works!

These are a few pieces I created using that “plan” and I have more to finish up today (if I can stick to my agenda)! :) I really love working with the stretched canvas especially the 6 x 6 size. It has a funky shape to it and almost feels like a shadow box. I also adore adding vintage laces and old notions.

I love the pic of the little girl with her doll and rickshaw style carriage. Looks like she is full of spunk! Beautiful canvases, Nancy.

    Hi Nancy,
Love your canvases, and unfortunately I can relate to the organizing issue! In fact I just blogged about it yesterday….:).
It’s constant and demanding! And yes, this Summer is flying by too quickly, agreed!
