Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{Vintage Heart Garland}

January 4, 2012

I’ve been having fun in the studio with old vintage quilts, warm winter sunshine (on a very cold day) and listening to Adele. Not necessarily in that order – but having a restful day. I wanted to share this little garland made from old quilt pieces and lace. I love Valentine’s Day (February baby here) and hearts so this project was right up my alley.

We haven’t had much snow for Michigan so far, but today feels like a real winter day. Mr. Sugar Lump (aka the hubby) is working away on something I hope to share with you later this week. Super excited about it – and proud of his crafty abilities.

Happy Wednesday – if it is cold where you are – I hope the sun is shining in your {Heart}! xoxo

About Sugar Lump Studios

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.

    It sounds like a perfect day what you described and the results so, so beautiful. This would look so gorgeous in any home at any time of the year.
