Sugar Lump Studios

Art by Nancy Maxwell James

{Wish Altered Mini Clipboard}

July 30, 2011

I have cool on the brain (and a little Christmas spirit in my soul) so I created this little clipboard this week. The background is old hymnal music “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” and the clipboard is adorned with old vintage ornament, lace, mother of pearl buttons, snowflake charm, shabby seam binding ribbon, and my favorite the big silver snowflake with a vintage rhinestone pin in the center.

I can’t believe that August is only 2 days away! Happy Saturday everyone! :)

About Sugar Lump Studios

I am a dabbler. I love to create using all sorts of mediums...pattern papers, stamping, fabric, assemblage, collage, altered art, a never ending smattering of whatever strikes my fancy in whimsical moments. I find creating allows my soul to be fulfilled and love to spend hours in the studio.

Nancy, this is really lovely! I think July is the perfect time to create for Christmas. I always wait too long and then get really busy in December and end up not creating near as much as I had hoped.
I love that you painted the clip board. The silver snowflake with the rhinestone pin is beautiful. Did you use the original vintage postcard or a copy? I always wonder if people use the original or not : ) I am always too chicken to glue down an original.
    Hugs,
    Terri

    Hi Nancy,
I love the little altered clipboards.
I know you’ve been busy with your classes.
I use a wireless modem by verizon for my
internet connection. I just got 4G speed
last week. I can watch videos now! That’s
exciting since they are so popular.

I started a new blog to focus on my
crochet and sewing. I’d love to have you
    pop in for a visit.

    Hugs,
    Stephanie Suzanne ♥
