Thank you for your kind words and support this week. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated it. My Dad had a beautiful funeral on Monday, September 18.
Everything was just how he would have wanted. We buried him wearing a Maxwell tartan tie (my son had worn the tie at my wedding last fall.) A beautiful spray of white roses and heather was placed on his casket. My daughter tucked a dried thistle in his suit lapel (Scotland’s flower), and the bagpiper played Amazing Grace in duet with the organ. Such a beautiful service for a wonderful, dear and kind man. We will miss him dearly – and our loss has not yet begun to sink in.
I know the road ahead will be difficult without him with us but his body was tired and he needed to be with the Lord. I know he is in a happier place and we will meet again one day
