I made this altered cigar box about 6 weeks ago and realized that it never made it to my blog. I named the assemblage “BEAU” because the cabinet card photo has such a sweet face. Old vintage treasures were tucked away inside for safe keeping.

Happy Spring Everyone! It may be only 30 degrees here in Michigan, and light snow has been trying to fall all day…but I know it is here. The lake below has open water now, and our swans have returned. Each day we watch more ice dissolve and soon the spring bulbs will start blooming – my favorite flowers always! I hope spring is making way to your neck of the woods!

What a precious little box, Nancy, and such a great way to use a single shoe.

What a lovely altered cigar box Nancy! Love the look on the face of that dear little boy – he looks so serious! The little additions of the shoe, moss and egg just beautifully arranged inside with the lining of music paper!
Wishing you well and warm hugs,
    Suzy

I live in Michigan too Nancy, just north of Port Huron. It’s been snowing on and off all day here also. I so want spring! Your cigar box is beautiful.

    Hi Nancy,
Happy Spring to you, we are coming into autumn here down under, beautiful days with cool mornings, so nice to be free of the hot weather. Your cigar box is just charming Nancy.
Hope your week is going well,
    Robyn x

Oh my goodness Nancy, this is just so sweet. Love the spoon handles you create to top it all off. We’re getting rain today.. not snow!!! I feel so badly when I watch the news and saw all that heavy snow coming down again yesterday!!!
