I have been listing items in my shop as I unpack and have time. I wanted to share these three with you today. A heart ornament, a little calico fabric collage bag, and a heart pin. Counting down to creative time next week!
Hello! It has been a few weeks since I last posted. There are many changes coming my way, and this past week I listed my home for sale. This has been something very difficult to physically (and emotionally) deal with because of not knowing where I will be living, and what will happen. So far, the requests to see my home have been very positive, but keeping up with it and trying to clear and purge things overwhelming.
Since I have not had time to create, I am sharing some prayer flags from my archives with you. I thought they were suitable considering all that is going on. I hope you are enjoying your summer wherever you are…and staying cool. Finally, a wee break in the heat here.
This past week I was working on this little fabric bag. It is made from vintage fabric remnants that an art friend Stephanie at Queenofdreamz sent to me when she was cleaning out her studio. She sent a stash of stuff that she thought I would like to get my mojo going and it did. I have been very blessed with many friends sending me things to create with and beautiful bits of the art as well.
This little bag was something I created with some of the fabric (it is lined inside) and other lace bits I had.
I cannot wait to create more of what she sent. My goal was for it to big enough for a Smartphone and a few other small items. It was nice to try and sew again! Always is.
Happy Saturday! This little fabric book I made during January/February and was finally able to photograph it. I was truly lost without my camera – and while it was never repaired (long story and an unhappy one) I had to go and replace it because of my business.
Each page is a fabric image of old Valentine postcards. I added pocket pages, lace doilies and oodles of trim as well. Sari silk tops the front cover. I am in a sewing mood again and hope to start creating more.
