Sugar Lump Studios - A Sweet Smattering of Mixed Media Art

A Time Gothic Arch Card

April 14, 2022

This past week I have been creating a few journals, but I took a tiny break today to make this simple Gothic Arch Card. I used digital papers (Sam Poole Designs) and others as my background. A teeny tiny white paper doily was also added. Buttons, collage image and Bible verse text were then added. Inked along entire edges and mounted on pale lilac cardstock.

This Journey Gothic Arch Card

March 28, 2022

Sharing a little gothic arch with you today. Something super simple, but I really love the blue of this pattern paper and wanted to showcase it with not too much collage. Spring keeps coming and going here in Michigan, but I know it will be here soon!

Create In Me Gothic Arch

March 10, 2022

Hello!

Today, I would like to share a little Gothic arch made with my favorite vintage girl. She always makes my heart smile! I added some digital background papers (Sam Poole Designs), other ephemera, wings, washi tape and a Bible verse that was printed in Microsoft Word and printed out. I then cut it into strips and placed it throughout the arch.

The days are getting longer and the sun has been positioning itself differently for weeks now. The temps keep teasing with warmer days and the next will be cold again. This weekend is Daylight Savings time so I will be very happy to see that!

Seaside Dreams Gothic Arch

February 21, 2022

I am still on the “sea” theme. Maybe because it keeps snowing here and then it warms up.

This Gothic arch features the Seaside Dreams Digital kit papers from Ruby and Pearlxo again. I then added a family photo, buttons, coffee stained tag, postcard and cardstock to the back of the paper arch.

The quote is from E.E. Cummings – “For whatever we lose (like a you or a me} it’s always ourselves we find in the sea.”
