Vintage Altered Bingo Cards

Today, I am sharing something from the archives. The Vintage Altered Bingo Cards were published in Sew Somerset Winter 2014 Issue. Pages 108 – 110. They are a combination assemblage of paper, bingo cards, and sewn collages using fabric. The phrases were chalked to add to the vintage feel of the project. I tried to keep the project neutral in color, although they could easily be made in colors as well.

As I type this today I cannot believe it is already July 15th! Where does summer go? I am enjoying my little guy here today (he is napping as I type) and in just a few more weeks he will be 2 years old! That is crazy!! I have just a few things on my summer bucket list. I don’t think some of the bigger wishes will happen, so I made goals that were much easier.

{Antique Bits Chipboard Journal Album}

I received this publication before Christmas, but never got around to sharing it here. I am so ticked to see it (or anything) in print. It has been gone since last February, and the actual journal just came back today in the mail.

I created this using an embossed (cover) chipboard album that measures 7 1/4 x 6 inches. Then I filled each chipboard page with fabric, antique laces, buttons, and old antique photos. There are also some fabric and crocheted flowers throughout the album. I then tied ribbon and little wooden spools along the edges.

I hope you enjoy it also! Always fun to see your art after it has been away so long!

{Rosebud Corrugated Tags – Somerset Life}

I received some happy mail yesterday. Last March, I sent in my Rosebud corrugated tags and was thrilled to see them in the publication flesh! They are in the Somerset Life October/November/December Issue and featured on pages 92 – 94. It is always a thrill to see your work in print and I am honored.

{Floral Sentiments Chipboard Journal}

I wanted to share my most recent publication with you. In the July/August issue of Somerset Studios on pages 83 – 87. This article features two different looks using the same journal. Today, I am sharing the more colorful version. It features Red Lead images, reproduction stickers, French dictionary paper, buttons, monograms and other embellishments. The journal was created on a kraft chipboard journal that I added a spine to (Zutterbind.)

I hope you are enjoying the last days of August. I cannot believe yet again how quickly the summer went.
